Christmas crafts classes in November

Love Christmas crafts?, then come along to our free 5 week Christmas crafts class starting Wednesday 15th November in Ardgay Hall from 7 – 9 pm.
Rachael our great art tutor will teach you lots of techniques whilst you reuse lino, paper and other materials to create great bespoke gifts designed by you.

Week 1 and 2 – Learn lino printing techniques to design and lino print your own Xmas cards on recycled paper
Week 3 and 4 – Design and lino print your own picture and re-use old picture frames to make a lovely personalised Christmas gift.
Week 5 – Learn glass painting techniques to create festive glass ornaments or a Christmas table decoration all whilst reusing waste glass including bottles and jam jars.

Upholstery Classes in Invershin Hall

Bring a small project (pre-approved by tutor) and learn how to strip, repair and rebuild your item. Finish it with your own choice of fabric to make a statement piece for your home. Vegetable Gardening From Scratch – 1/11/17-6/12/17

This FREE 6 week class will be running on Wednesday evenings from the 1st November – 6th December, 7-9pm at the Lairg & District Learning Centre. In this class you will learn about the basics of vegetable growing from the preparation of a vegetable bed through to harvest. Topics that will be covered include principle of raised bed cultivation, rotation, growing from seed, composting and much more! . Booking essential!

Cooking from Fresh Ingredients – This 6 week cookery class will teach you the basics in home cooking using fresh ingredients. This class will be running at the Burghfield House in Dornoch, Wednesday 1st November – 6th December, 10:30am – 12:30pm.

Bread Making – This single day session is for people who love bread and are keen to learn how to make it at home. This workshop will be running on Saturday 11th November, 12 noon – 4pm, also at the Burghfield House in Dornoch.
