Our community woodwork and sewing groups meet regularly in the Learning Centre, to make a wide range of items for sale to the public. These groups are run by experienced tutors who supervise the creation of our exciting stock and all items go through strict quality control measures before sale, including PAT testing for electrical items.
Recycling and Upcycling is our focus and products can be created from anything which is kindly donated to the centre. Most items were to be incinerated or sent to landfill, but we can see great new uses for them. For example, some of our most popular items are made from whiskey barrel oak staves.
Stock constantly changes and seasonal items, such as bird boxes or Christmas gifts, are created with this in mind. Our photo gallery below features a selection of items made over the past year, but please check our facebook page for current stock availability, or visit our display in the Learning Centre.
Any profit made from the sale of these goods is used by the charity to help cover costs.
